« Before i came on this trip one of the things i wanted to do was meet refugees so last night i camped outside a refugee camp and today has been one of the nicest days ive had so far. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The families staying here are from Syria, Iraq and Turkey (to name a few)and they have showed nothing but kindness towards me.
I woke up this morning with a bag next to my bike full of oranges, bananas, bread and water which was a nice way to start the day.
I had originally planned to rest and service my bike but that soon went out the window as from the get go people kept coming over to see me, bringing me food, water and wanting to meet Nala!
Everytime i crawled into my tent a new face would appear at the door usually giggling at my scottish accent but also very inquisitive as to how i was living and where my journey was going!
As the day came to an end i got to show off my football skills and taught all the kids how to play frisbee before they all got shouted in for there nighttime feed! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think its very easy to forget about all the innocent people who have been caught up in the war and have been forced to flee there homes in search for a better life and today has been such an eye opener how nice they are even after having everything taking from them!

« Our indegenous migration routes existed long before your borders! »
